Job Title: Customer Service | Collections Specialist

Job Description

As a Collections Specialist, you will communicate with consumers via phone and approved written correspondence to resolve unpaid accounts. You will provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to account files for each interaction while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the collections industry. Strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment are essential, and you will perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Customer service experience.Call center experience.Data entry skills.Comfortable speaking on the phone.Collections customer service experience.Bilingual candidates preferred.Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.

Work Environment

The work environment is flexible and comfortable, fostering a strong family-type atmosphere where many employees have been with the company for over 20 years. You will work from the office 5 days a week, with hours from 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-4pm on Friday. The team consists of 13 collection specialists and 1 manager. There is room for growth, ample training opportunities, and you will not be micromanaged, allowing for independence. The company hosts fun events like holiday parties, lunches, celebrations, potlucks, and volunteering activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
