Description Our client, a well-known pest control company in San Marcos, is looking for a Collections Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the company maintains healthy cash flow while delivering exceptional service to their customer base. The Collections Specialist will manage overdue accounts, resolve billing issues, and work directly with customers to establish payment solutions. Responsibilities + Contact customers with past-due balances by phone, email, and mail. + Negotiate payment arrangements and establish repayment plans when necessary. + Research and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with the accounting team. + Accurately document all collection activities in customer accounts. + Provide regular reporting on collection status and outstanding balances. + Recommend accounts for escalation to legal or third-party collection agencies when required. + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company debt collection policies. + Work cross-functionally with customer service to maintain positive customer relationships. Requirements + High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. + 2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience. + Excellent communication and negotiation skills. + Strong organizational and follow-up abilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. + Ability to handle sensitive customer issues with tact and professionalism.
