Collections Specialist

As a **Collections Specialist** here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in managing the collections process and ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding accounts receivable. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement collection policies and procedures, while also monitoring and analyzing collection performance.
You will report directly to our **Collections Manager** and you’ll work out of our **Seoul, South Korea** location on a **Hybrid** work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the financial health of the organization by optimizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt, ultimately contributing to the overall success of Honeywell.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Partner with Operations, Sales team for monthly cash forecasting, managing day to day follow-ups, collections, dispute resolution and cash application
+ Partner with regional cross functional team to drive BA Working Capital. This includes timely Cash Collection, driving Past Dues reduction, DSO improvement, AFDA and Disputes reduction
+ Actively participate the reduction of accounts receivable for BA customers. Develop relationship and implement strategies for getting timely collections from key customers.
+ Engage with Cross Functional team and deploy strategies / resources to meet Past Dues / Disputed Receivables/ AFDA / AR targets and objectives
+ Establish and maintain effective Internal and External working relationships, including Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Customer, and banking Relationships
+ Key focus on AFDA (Allowance for Doubtful Accounts) de-risking P&L and recovery of Balance Sheet AFDA.
+ Follow-up with customer, Government offices for obtaining withholding tax & Social insurance certificates as applicable
+ Credit Risk Management: Periodic credit evaluation of existing customers, Credit assessment of new customer.
+ Participate in weekly cash calls, influence respective stake owners to complete actions as per deadline
+ Manage and administer customer accounts including account reconciliations and application of unapplied credits/cash.
+ Drive regular involvement of regional management in status of portfolio
+ Generate qualified collection, Receivable and Advance related actuals and forecast data / Share it with stakeholders on a timely manner.

**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
+ ERP knowledge of SAP is preferred
+ Excellent experience using Microsoft tools
+ Experience of handling contractual disputes / Legal cases
+ Hands on experience of managing Bank Guarantees and Letter of Credits
+ Background of handling O2C/C2C processes of large cycle projects / contracts
+ Understanding of financial accounting
+ Excellent communication skills both internally across distances and externally with customers; ability to tailor the communications to the appropriate audience
**WE VALUE**
+ Mandatory Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting
+ Minimum 3 years’ experience in Credit & Collection, Working Capital Management in a Multinational environment and managing external customer relationships
+ 3 years’ experience in finance or accounting functions – Mainly Receivables Management, Credit and Risk Management, banking relationship management.
