Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in resolving overdue accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring accurate documentation of collection activities. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance assertive collection practices with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Contact clients to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve account disputes professionally. • Maintain and update detailed records of all collection activities within the system. • Collaborate with internal departments to address billing discrepancies and ensure accurate account resolutions. • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on payments to meet departmental goals. • Generate reports on collection activities and provide updates to management. • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations during all collection procedures. • Assist in improving collection processes and strategies to enhance efficiency. • Communicate effectively with both commercial and consumer clients to maintain positive relationships. • Utilize data tools and software to manage accounts and track payment statuses. Requirements • Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field is required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. • Strong negotiation and communication skills to handle sensitive conversations effectively. • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously. • Familiarity with collection processes and billing procedures. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve issues. • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
