Collections Representative

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Collections Representative to join our dynamic Robinson Fresh Financial Operations team. In this impactful role, you’ll help ensure the financial health of our growing Managed Procurement business by resolving outstanding accounts receivable issues and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.

As a Collections Representative, you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, and play a key role in keeping cash flow moving. Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Investigate and resolve aging invoices by identifying root causes and applying critical thinking

Leverage internal systems and processes to manage collections and ensure timely payments

Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships

Escalate complex issues to senior team members or leadership when necessary

Contribute ideas for process improvements and support continuous enhancement of collections workflows

Participate in cross-functional training to gain exposure to related areas such as accounts payable and invoicing

Continue developing knowledge of collections processes and financial systems

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, cash applications, credit, accounts payable, or a related finance role

Preferred Qualifications:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Utilize problem solving and critical thinking skills to determine root cause of aging invoices

Leverage systems functionality and established processes to resolve aging invoices

Work within established procedures and adheres to quality guidelines

Escalate complex issues to senior team members and/or leadership

Contribute ideas for process improvement

Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers, maintain open lines of communication and build rapport by providing timely and professional service

Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of collections process

Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 2 years of collections, cash applications, credit, accounts payable or related finance experience

Preferred:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Effective and flexible communication skills

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to use own judgement and make sound decisions

Ability to work in fast-paced, professional, and deadline driven environment

Compensation Range

$13.85 - $26.83

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
