As the Collection & Default Strategy Sr Professional, you will monitor performance for the Student Loan portfolio, design risk-based segmentation, enhance operational treatment strategies, and drive incremental, long-term improvement. Working closely with Collections Leadership and Agency Performance Management, you will evolve outreach and treatment strategies with the objective of increasing customer response and positively impacting the bottom line. This position requires you to develop analytical routines to identify new opportunities, adhoc analytics to formulate new strategies, and become a subject matter expert, advising our businesses partners, on effective ways to improve loss performance, lower expenses, implement best practices, all of which, align to our Citizens brand.
Primary responsibilities include
Prepare and present Student performance findings and action items to leaders in Strategy, Collections, Credit Risk and Product
Develop and implement strategic enhancements to improve performance
Maintain and enhance robust performance tracking and reporting
Partner with Credit Risk, Product, and Finance to align on expected performance driven by strategic initiatives
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
3-5 years of experience in collections analytics and/or credit risk analytics
SAS / Enterprise Guide / SQL or other data mining experience
Advanced MS Office skills, particularly with PowerPoint
Strong presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
Strong statistical background or experience in measuring operational strategies
Strong organization and project management skills and the ability to partner with various
internal stakeholders
Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels and functions
Able to thrive and prioritize in a changing environmentBachelor’s degree in a quantitative study preferred (Math, Finance, Science etc.)
