Collateral Management & Enforcement Associate (CM&E)

What's the opportunity?

You will manage litigation files for Personal Lending Products and report to the Department Manager Collateral Management & Enforcement.  You will partner with peers within CM&E, both on site and off site.

What will you do?

Provide oversight of portfolio of files assigned to litigation, including Personal Lending Products and credit cards, and work with internal CM&E Associates and outside Law FirmsCollect outstanding balances in Pre Write Off and Post Write Off litigation, and negotiate payouts, settlements or payment arrangements with clients, to finalize the account in the most efficient mannerApprove legal expenses, provide instructions to assigned law firms and discuss strategies for cost effective recoveryIdentify risk situations and escalate if and when appropriate, and determine if the legal process is not an option and assign accounts to a 3rd Party Collection Agency as a last resortMaintain a balance between quality Customer Care and effective negotiation techniques, and embrace the service routines, goal setting and performance enablementTake ownership and resolve issues, ensuring operational risk mitigation and compliance are achievedAct as a referral point for other team members, in order to deliver a seamless, simpler, faster, and a better client experienceFoster collaboration within your team and convergence across partners to support RBC’s One Client, One Bank visionIn this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide

What you need to succeed

Must have

Collections or Credit Management and Recoveries experience, including negotiation and decision makingExperience in using MS Excel, Word and OutlookFamiliar with all credit products including Personal Loans and VisaAbility to identify opportunities for innovation and adapt to rapid change effectivelyRequired Knowledge of systems: OLMS, TS2, CACS, Sales Platform, OLBB and CASPERDemonstrate teamwork, co-operation, adaptability, listening, understanding and responding, a sense of urgency, customer service/ service partner orientation, relationship building, building partnerships with stakeholdersAvailable to work shifts within the business hours of 8am - 8:30pm Monday - Friday
