The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Cold Prep plays a vital role in our catering team, responsible for the preparation of fresh and delicious cold dishes for our clients. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Required: + Successful completion of general and department-specific orientation + Minimum of 1 year's experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment. + Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods. Preferred: + Culinary school diploma or degree in a related field. + Experience in a high-volume catering environment. + Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques. Scheduling Requirements: This is a full-time position with shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Some weekend availability is required. Essential Functions: + Prepare a variety of cold dishes such as salads, sandwiches, and desserts according to recipes or chef s instructions. + Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation. + Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards. + Assist with inventory and kitchen organization. + Collaborate with the Chef and the cooks to ensure client satisfaction.
