Coil Winder
**Position Overview** The Coil Winder is a hands-on assembly role responsible for producing precision coil windings used in large-scale electrical equipment. This position involves setting up and operating specialized winding machines, assembling components, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Team members will train to perform a variety of winding processes, including single and multi-wire disc windings, screw windings, and other specialized configurations. **Key Responsibilities** + Receive work assignments and instructions from supervision in both verbal and written form. Follow blueprints, bills of material, and established manufacturing procedures. + Prepare and assemble materials at the workstation. + Assemble components onto cylinders and set up winding machines. + Load cylinders into machines and wind coils according to specifications. + Inspect and verify winding accuracy using established checklists. + Unload, upend, and position coil assemblies as needed. + Provide assistance to other operators with winding tasks. + Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on machines; submit work orders when necessary. + Repair coils across departments or work centers as required. + Manually bend and prepare leads. + Perform brazing of conductors and connections. + Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in line with company standards. + Support the training of new team members. + Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervision. **Skills & Knowledge** + Proficient in the use of winding machines, overhead cranes, brazing tools, dereelers, upenders, hydraulic benders, saws, grinders, torches, clamps, buffers, drills, sanders, and various hand tools. + Familiarity with materials such as copper conductors, pressboard, insulation papers, adhesives, sil-foss, cloth tape, and related materials. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. + Strong attention to detail and precision to ensure quality workmanship. + Capability to work both independently and as part of a team. **Education & Experience** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Prior experience in mechanical assembly, coil winding, or related manufacturing environment preferred. **Work Environment & Physical Demands** + Manufacturing plant, shop-floor environment. + Requires standing for extended periods of time. + Occasional walking, climbing, balancing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and working at or below waist level. **Key Interactions** + Collaborates with production supervisors, quality assurance teams, planning staff, and engineering groups (mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing). **Pay Details:** $29.00 per hour Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://uat.adecco.com/en-us/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance **Massachusetts Candidates Only:** It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
