Position: Cognos Developer Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Rochester, NY (Hybrid - 2x Per Month) Overview: Seeking an BI Developer (Cognos) to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions. This role involves creating actionable insights through Cognos and SQL, collaborating with teams, and supporting reporting tools administration. Requirements: + Hands-on Cognos & SQL experience (report writing 1–3 years minimum). + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and documentation abilities. + Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, SSRS) and ERP systems preferred. Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and visualizations. + Translate business requirements into secure, accurate reporting solutions. + Write ad-hoc queries and support data warehouse strategies. Preferred: + Advanced Cognos report writing and visualization experience. + Familiarity with finance/accounting concepts.
