COE Operations Excellence - JM
**DESCRIPTION** **Job Summary** The COE Operations Excellence – JM role applies developing business process and project management skills to support initiatives within a business or technical specialty. Working under the supervision of a project manager, the incumbent manages small portions of well-defined projects while providing administrative, analytical, and logistical support to project teams. The position contributes to project planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities to ensure operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities** + Serve as a support resource on projects and work assignments, developing knowledge in project management and business processes. + Assist in identifying, tracking, and resolving project issues; build capability to do this independently. + Monitor and communicate project status to stakeholders and team members. + Provide support in budget planning, expense tracking, and analytical research. + Assist in creating and maintaining project plans, timelines, and supporting documentation. + Contribute to project risk management by applying quality tools to identify and mitigate risks. + Support documentation, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing across teams. + Maintain project notes, databases, and performance measures; provide updates to project managers. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Competencies** + **Communicates effectively** – Delivers clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communication. + **Customer focus** – Builds strong relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions. + **Manages complexity** – Analyzes complex information and resolves problems effectively. + **Manages conflict** – Handles disagreements constructively with minimal disruption. + **Plans and aligns** – Organizes and prioritizes work to achieve results aligned with organizational goals. + **Resourcefulness** – Efficiently secures and deploys resources. + **Project Issue and Risk Management** – Applies tools and processes to assess and address risks/issues. + **Project Resource Management** – Develops and manages expense and headcount resource plans. + **Project Schedule Management** – Manages schedules to meet agreed timelines. + **Project Scope Management** – Defines and controls project deliverables to ensure successful outcomes. + **Values differences** – Recognizes and leverages diverse perspectives and cultures. **Qualifications and Skills** **Education, Licenses, and Certifications (External)** + High school diploma or secondary education certificate required; equivalent experience may be considered. + College or equivalent degree preferred. + May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Experience (External)** + Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience. **Internal Candidate Qualifications** + Engineering graduate with **3–5 years of experience** in Industrial Engineering and Lean Management. + Proven expertise in: 1. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) 2. Bottleneck management 3. 5S methodology 4. Industry 4.0 practices 5. Expense and project management 6. Team-based work systems 7. Kaizen initiatives 8.
