Coding Documentation Educator
**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As an Educator, you will be a vital contributor to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs. Every day, you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives, ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants. To be successful in this role, you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff. + Acts as documentation and coding liaison to clinicians to include review, education and necessary follow-up to help ensure that clinical documentation and coding services meet government and organizational policies and procedures. + Analyzes and provides education on revenue capture, clinical documentation including Electronic Health Record (EHR) requirements, coding accuracy and denial management to clinicians and clinic staff. + Assists in determining educational needs based on documentation reviews, provider/staff feedback, data analysis (bell curves). + Performs a minimum of an annual review of each clinician and specialty to identify clinical documentation and coding areas that require improvement and additional education. + Reviews documentation and coding for new providers for accuracy and charge capture as per standard. + Prepares necessary reports and communicates results of audits to management, clinicians, and committees as appropriate. **Job Requirements** Required + High School Graduate High School Diploma, upon hire or + High School GED, and + Certified Coding Specialist, or + Certified Professional Coder or + Certified Professional Coder Hospital Apprentice or + Certified Professional Coder Apprentice **Where You'll Work** CHI Memorial Medical Group (Mountain Management Services), a member of CommonSpirit Health, is a leading provider of comprehensive office management services for Memorial Health Partners and affiliated physicians in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia.
