You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys. Your primary responsibilities include: * Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications running on IBM z/OS systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that support critical business operations. * Develop, test, and maintain applications on IBM z/OS using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies. * Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications * Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of z/OS applications * Collaborate with system analysts, QA testers, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and support * Maintain documentation for programs, processes, and procedures * Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis for production issues * Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards **Required technical and professional expertise** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 2+ years of experience in z/OS application development (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS) * Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and batch/online processing * Familiarity with version control tools and change management processes * Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities * Amenable to work on a client dictated shift (day, mid, night). * Open to work on any of IBM locations (Quezon City or Cebu). **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with REXX, IMS, or Assembler is a plus * Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices * Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and techniques * Familiarity with integration between mainframe and distributed systems * JLPT N1-N3 Certification IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
