What will be your key responsibilities?

 

Responsible for the total operation of the coating operations.Operation includes operating all systems, performing all quality checks, maintaining conformance reports and systems logs, troubleshooting all aspects of each system, and maintaining area in a clean, orderly manner. Coordinate flexible workforce activities as needed for recipe specific requirements.Participate in setting strategy for the processing system to ensure meeting and exceeding of the production schedule in the most efficient manner possible.Maintain a safe and clean work environment to promote associate safety and product integrity.Troubleshoot processing system to optimize performance and take corrective action to ensure product quality while minimizing unnecessary downtime.Perform preventative and downtime maintenance of area equipment and helps make incremental improvements.Improve operations through individual and group problem solving and provide leadership in solving problems on the floor and in meetings.Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork, interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.Train other area associates in operation of all areas and systems.Associate is responsible for communicating and escalating any quality and food safety concerns to site management responsible for the total operation of the coating operations. Operation includes operating all systems, performing all quality checks, maintaining conformance reports and systems logs, troubleshooting all aspects of each system, and maintaining area in a clean, orderly manner.Coordinate flexible workforce activities as needed for recipe specific requirements.Participate in setting strategy for the processing system to ensure meeting and exceeding of the production schedule in the most efficient manner possible.Maintain a safe and clean work environment to promote associate safety and product integrity.Troubleshoot processing system to optimize performance and take corrective action to ensure product quality while minimizing unnecessary downtime.Perform preventative and downtime maintenance of area equipment and helps make incremental improvements.Improve operations through individual and group problem solving and provide leadership in solving problems on the floor and in meetings.Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork, interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.Train other area associates in operation of all areas and systems.Associate is responsible for communicating and escalating any quality and food safety concerns to site management.Responsible for the total operation of the coating operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Warehouse/Shipping functions as needed and available. Participate in site safety program and actively look for ways to improve site and area safety.Other similar duties as assigned.

 

Physical/Environmental Requirements

Must not be afraid of heights and capable of working at elevated heightsMust not be unusually sensitive to chemicals Vision correctable to 20/20 (contact lenses not recommended).Hearing and speaking ability both in person and on the phone.  Ability to recognize colors.Must be able to stand on your feet on a concrete floor for extended periods of time and wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, uniform, etc.)Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting to 55 lbs.Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicalsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and minimal supervisionForklift assignments require OSHA certification and getting on and off frequently

 

Minimum Qualifications

Be 18 years of age or olderHave a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educationBasic knowledge of personal computers through demonstrated competency in software including MS Office and emailMust be willing and able to work rotating schedules.Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English languageHigh Level of mechanical aptitude and knowledge, with good skills in troubleshooting and problem solvingMost recent Performance appraisal with a minimum of “Meets” expectations and not more than 1 year old.No active disciplinary notices.Acceptable attendance (less than 5 incidents and no discipline above an Initial Warning)

 

Desired Education

High school diploma/GED requiredCollege Degree in a plus2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
