Contract duration: 12 months (can be extended)

Join a dynamic team as a Coating and Insulation Specialist in the energy sector, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects in Tanzania. Your role will be key to ensuring high-quality coating and insulation application, compliance with safety standards, and timely project delivery.
Role Overview Coating & Painting Application: Execute industrial painting and coating works following strict technical and safety specifications. Thermal Insulation Installation: Apply insulation materials to pipelines, tanks, and structural components to meet project requirements. Supervision & Coordination: Work closely with EPCM contractors, review contractor methods, ensure workforce competence, and maintain equipment readiness. Quality Control: Monitor coating and insulation quality through inspections, testing, and compliance with approved procedures and project specifications. Health, Safety & Environment: Promote safe work practices, mentor teams on HSE policies, and ensure all activities comply with safety regulations. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare progress reports, manage punch lists, and assist with construction milestone tracking
Skills & Qualifications
Proven expertise in industrial coating and thermal insulation application techniques. Strong knowledge of surface preparation, corrosion protection, and insulation materials. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and method statements. Experience in quality assurance and inspection within construction or energy projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills, including managing multicultural teams. Commitment to HSE best practices and safety compliance.
Education & Experience Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience in greenfield construction projects, with at least 5 years in coating supervision roles. Relevant certifications such as NACE CIP, BGAS-CSWIP, or FROSIO are highly desirable. Proficiency with MS Office and project documentation tools. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
