Job Description:
The production/utility operator is responsible for following procedures for product manufacturing, equipment operation, and safety requirements as documented in the company’s quality system.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to handle the physical activities of the job, including lifting and stacking up to 50 pound bags, packing and moving drums and other containerized materials.Read and follow written instructions.Abide by the safety rules of the plant.Maintain the cleanliness of the work area.Operate forklifts in a safe manner, as needed.Organize the production area to maintain the quality of the product and condition of the packaging.Move materials from storage to production, and from production to storage as needed.Operate Pack Out machines and identify material as directed in the production control planPull samples as directed in the production control planOther special tasks as required by plant management.Education: High School
High School Diploma or G.E.D.Experience: 6 months
Detail-orientedSkills:
Ability to speak, read and write English.Demonstrate the ability to learn the tasks introduced through on-the-job training.Prefer a minimum of high school diploma or GED.Experience in manufacturing operations or equivalent.Related Experience: Dock Worker, Laborer, Material Handler, Warehouse Worker
