CNC Waterjet, Punch Press, Brake Press
The CNC Operator should have experience in operating one or more of the following types of equipment: waterjet, punch presses, and Press Brake machinery. This position will offer flexibility to cross-train and operate various equipment in the machine shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to fabricate high-quality metal components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a cross-functional role that requires flexibility, technical proficiency, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Key Responsibilities + Intermediate knowledge of reading production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation. + Set up and operate CNC waterjet, vaski, and press brake machines to produce parts according to tolerances. + Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment. + Familiarity with G-Code, Cam software, or CNC interface systems. + Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as mics and calipers to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications. + Collaborates with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve production processes. + Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly working environment. + Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications + Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. + Basic math skills along with mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions. + Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Working Environment + The manufacturing environment is characterized by exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations. + Walking or standing on the Plant floor. + Frequently required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without help. Required Education and Experience + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + Three or more years of experience operating CNC waterjet, vaski, or press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment.
