**Job Title: CNC Machinist/Operator (Day Shift)**
Job Description
Join a leading manufacturer of pipes, valves, and flanges (PVF) as a CNC Machinist/Operator. This role involves working in a production shop with pre-loaded programs, focusing on machining large parts like flanges, elbows, and fittings made of carbon steel and stainless steel. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, making minimal edits with G code, and utilizing Fanuc controls on Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL).
Responsibilities
+ Operate CNC machines with pre-loaded programs.
+ Machining large parts such as flanges and fittings up to 48" to 60".
+ Set up machines with minimal edits using G code.
+ Run VTL machines with Fanuc controls, often managing two machines simultaneously due to long run times.
+ Work primarily with carbon steel and sometimes stainless steel materials.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in CNC machining or operating.
+ Proficiency with VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) and Fanuc controls.
+ Experience with G code, horizontal boring mill, and vertical mill.
+ Knowledge of machining large parts with wide open tolerances.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with horizontal lathe and HBM (Horizontal Boring Mill).
+ Familiarity with Siemens controls and blueprint reading.
+ Ability to handle big parts such as flanges, well necks, and slip offs.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large, renovated manufacturing shop that includes shipping and receiving areas and a spacious machining shop equipped with OH cranes and jib cranes at every station. The shop is open-air and non-climate-controlled, but large fans provide air circulation. The workforce is diverse, with communication in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Day shift consists of approximately 40 machinists, predominantly CNC operators, with 10 to 15 FL drivers. Steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses are required. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st Shift runs from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility depending on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
