CNC VTL (Afternoon)
**Job Title: CNC VTL Machinist (Afternoon Shift)** **Job Description** Join a leading manufacturer of pipes, valves, and flanges (PVF) as a CNC machinist/operator. This role involves working in a production shop with pre-loaded programs, indicating parts, and touching off. You will be machining large parts such as flanges, elbows, and fittings, usually made from carbon steel and occasionally stainless steel. The position requires handling setups with minimal edits using G code and operating VTL machines with Fanuc controls. The shop is equipped to run two machines simultaneously due to longer run times on larger parts. **Must Haves** + Minimum of 5 years experience in CNC machining or CNC operation. + Proficiency in operating Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) and Horizontal Boring Mill (HBM). + Experience with G code and Fanuc controls. + Ability to work with carbon steel and stainless steel materials. + Knowledge of blueprint reading and machining operations. **Responsibilities** + Operate and manage CNC machines for machining large parts up to 48" to 60" in size. + Perform setups with minimal edits using G code. + Utilize Fanuc controls to operate Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) machines. + Run two VTL machines concurrently due to extended run times. + Ensure precision and accuracy in machining parts such as flanges, well necks, and slip offs. + Maintain consistent production of similar parts in varying sizes. **Why Work Here?** Become part of a large manufacturer tied to the pipeline industry, offering stability and ample work hours when business is thriving. Communicate with a diverse team in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Steel toes, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses are required. Available shifts: Day/Night with 2nd Shift from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday to Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
