CNC Machinist (Turner) – Temp South Ruislip

£15.00 – £18.00 per hour | Temporary | Full-Time

Hours: 39 hours per week | Monday–Friday, 07:30–15:48

The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist (Turner) to join a well-established precision engineering business in South Ruislip on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on role focused on the setup, operation, and running of CNC turning machines, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Mazak experience beneficial but not essential) Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMMs) Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with H&S standards Work to production schedules and meet delivery deadlines Skills & Experience Previous experience in a CNC machining / turning role Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances Confident reading engineering drawings Experience using precision measuring equipment Knowledge of Mazatrol or other CNC programming languages advantageous Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Hours Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 15:48 39 hours per week Includes lunch and rest breaks
