Job Title: Swiss CNC Machinist
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist who will set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathe machines for precision production machining. This role involves troubleshooting and refining machining methods to maximize efficiency and throughput.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Swiss Lathe machines for precision production machining.Troubleshoot and refine machining methods to maximize efficiency and throughput.Edit and optimize existing CNC programs to enhance production performance.Accurately document setup changes and process adjustments to ensure repeatability and reduce cycle times.Maintain and update the departmental job scheduling board to support workflow coordination.Conduct routine preventive maintenance and uphold a clean, organized work environment.Monitor and ensure the quality of machined parts within the production cell.Proactively assess upcoming workloads and prepare tooling to minimize downtime.Inspect and deburr finished parts to meet blueprint specifications using appropriate measuring tools.Take full ownership of the quality of parts produced, ensuring precision and consistency.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating and programming CNC Swiss Lathe machines.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with CNC setup, changeovers, and teardowns.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience leading a small team of operators.Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills.Experience in a medium-volume production job shop is an advantage.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art facility with CNC turning equipment that is less than four years old. The position operates on the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Our facility emphasizes safety and organization without the need for cranes or material handling equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Akron, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $70000.00/yr.
