URGENTLY HIRING a CNC Machinist Set-Up Technician!

Pay: $30 - 40 Shift: 1st or 2nd Location: Butler, NJ

Job Description

The primary function of the CNC Machinist Set-Up Technician is to set up CNC machines for production in a productive, high-quality, and safe manner. The focus of the job is to ensure an acceptable first piece inspection by setting up the CNC machines efficiently.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and edit CNC Machine programsRead and interpret engineering drawingsLayout all tooling and gages at CNC Machine for setupUpload previous job program and download new job program to CNC MachineInstall all tooling into the CNC machine turret tool positionsTouch off tools and update programs with proper tool positionsTroubleshoot CNC machine problems as neededProvide assistance and guidance to CNC OperatorsInspect parts using visual comparator, caliper, eye loop, appropriate gages, and instruments to ensure accurate, quality partsPerform visual inspection of parts for burrs, chatters, chamfer irregularities, hexes, surface finish, etc., always confirming with engineering print and first part inspection sampleFollow all company safety and environmental policies and proceduresChange tools, make machine adjustments, and offsets as necessaryAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with G code, Mastercam, and manual machiningFamiliarity with Haas mill, Haas vertical, and screw machineProficiency in blueprint reading and set up machineExperience in inspection and machine shopAbility to handle several tasks at the same time under time constraintsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to high-pressure gas, heated and moving mechanical parts, and occasional vibration. The noise level is moderate for a manufacturing plant. Employees must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
