CNC Set Up Operator - 3rd shift
**Position Summary:** The CNC Set-up operator is responsible for setting-up the CNC machine, manufacturing parts and inspecting manufactured parts. **Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):** + Start CNC machine and perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) procedures, adjust as needed. + Select and install appropriate fixturing for the part to be produced, per posted schedule. + Perform tool offsets as needed, adjust as required. + Pull the inspection sheet and blueprint for the part being produced and perform a first piece inspection in accordance with the manufacturing procedures to blueprint required specifications. + Understand tool offsets to ensure part quality and blueprint specification. **Essential Qualifications / Experience:** + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. + Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift. + Must have the ability to read measuring instruments, including but not limited to tape measure, height gauge, angle gauges, and calipers to verify parts are within specification. + Perform material handling functions using forklifts and reach truck. Manual lifting for loading and unloading required (up to 50 lbs.). + Basic computer skills required to pull blueprints, enter orders, and load CNC programs. + Familiarity with Fanuc controls required. **Preferred Qualifications / Experience:** + CNC technical training. + Two or more years of verifiable CNC experience. + CNC Mazak Milling Center experience and Okuma lathe experience. + Manual lathe and mill experience. _This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
