**Job Title: CNC Router Operator**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic team specializing in the production of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. As a CNC Router Operator, you will be responsible for creating the metal framework for cabinets that house electrical switchgears and power distribution systems, utilizing your expertise in CNC machinery to ensure precision and quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a CNC Router to cut, drill, and form metal sheets, ensuring accuracy and quality.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to guide the fabrication process.
+ Measure metal using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to verify dimensions.
+ Physically load large sheets of metal into the machine and change tooling as required.
+ Run CNC programs and monitor the operation for consistency and precision.
+ Engage in general labor tasks around the shop, including moving materials and cleaning.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC operating or machine operating.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and metal cutting/forming.
+ Ability to measure dimensions accurately using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with press brake, sheet metal, and laser operations.
+ Understanding of 11 gauge sheet metal fabrication.
+ Extensive knowledge of G&M codes.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean and organized medium-sized shop, which is part of a larger facility network. The shop is non-climate controlled but features open bay doors and numerous fans for ventilation. Join a busy and fast-paced production environment with a diverse team including machine operators, fabricators, QC personnel, material handlers, and managers. The shop operates on a night shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00pm to 6:00am, with frequent opportunities to work 50-60 hours per week. Day shifts are also available from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Steal toes, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses are required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
