**Description**
JOB SUMMARY:
Cut a variety of materials or composite assemblies to specified shapes on a CNC router\.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Sets up and operates a computer numerical control router to cut parts and materials\. Work from oral and written instructions, setup sheets and NC readouts\.
* Reviews setup sheet, secures stock to machine bed, and loads specified router and drill bits\.
* Observes machine operations for proper functioning\. Uses minimal judgment to override feed and speed using manual data input to prevent broken tools and damaged material\.
* Removes excess material and parts when operations are complete\.
* Coordinate machine operation on both tool proving and production parts under guidance of others\. May suggest basic changes on sequencing, feeds, and part layout\.
* Uses hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and measuring instruments such as scale and tape\.
* Responsible only for own work\.
* Performs other related duties as required\.
**Qualifications**
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification\. Blueprint reading\. Textron Aviation Blueprint certification preferred\.
EXPERIENCE:
* 6 months of directly related fabrication experience\.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids\. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required\.
