Responsibilities:

Develop, evaluate, and optimize CNC manufacturing methods, processes, and tooling strategiesCreate and maintain CNC programs and router databases by machine and product typeAnalyze job orders, blueprints, and specifications to perform calculations for manufacturing componentsGenerate process routings in the MRP system for both current and new product linesSupport production by resolving programming, tooling, and machine setup issuesParticipate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesDesign and assist with custom jigs and fixturesConduct time studies and cost analyses for process improvementsCollaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure optimized and standardized processesAssist in the recruitment, selection, and training of CNC shop employees

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and a 2-year Machine Tool Technical Diploma or Equivalent combination of education and 2-4 years of CNC programming experienceStrong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GDTProficient in using precision measuring toolsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Lean/World-Class Manufacturing methodsProgramming knowledge (Mastercam preferred); Visual Basic or similar is a plusExperience in a CNC machining environment; tooling/process development experience a plusKnowledge of 5-Axis Machining preferred, but not required
