**CNC Programmer Machinist**
**Job Description**
The CNC Programmer Machinist will program, set up, and operate 2, 3, 4, and/or 5 axis CNC machines as well as conventional machines to produce complex aerospace parts. This role requires advanced cross-training flexibility and experience with most, if not all, automated CNC machines and their operational capabilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Program, set up, and operate different types of CNC machines.
+ Perform pre-operational inspections and studies of blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
+ Determine sequence of operations and setup requirements.
+ Conduct complex set-ups without assistance on multiple machines, including checking or changing chucking jaws, tools, and rotating offsets.
+ Perform inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 3 years of CNC Programmer experience.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and inspection.
+ Experience with CNC lathe and mill operations.
+ Familiarity with Mastercam software.
+ Experience with metals such as stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
+ Proficiency with 2, 3, 4, or 5 axis CNC machines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prefer candidates with experience in Mastercam software.
+ Familiarity with controls such as Mazatrol, Okuma, and Fanuc.
+ Experience with specific equipment like Okuma and Hitachi Seiki.

**Work Environment**
The position is set in a large, non-union manufacturing environment. The machine shop operates across three shifts with 25-27 machinists. The company has recently undergone extensive modernization, creating a contemporary and eco-friendly workplace.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA FE SPRINGS, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
