Actalent is looking to add a CNC Programmer to our client's team, a national leader in air compressors!

Job Description

Utilize integration software such as Esprit to transfer engineered models from SolidWorks into machine language on an offline workstation. This allows CNC programs to be simulated before downloading to improve quality, machinability, and equipment throughput. Create a centralized location on the company network to store proven programs for download to various CNC machines. Collaborate with department tech leads to refine programs and seek opportunities to reduce cycle times on the shop floor. Evaluate and analyze new and revised engineering drawings/models for accuracy, manufacturability, and feasibility. Initiate, evaluate, and implement process improvements focused on cost reductions, quality improvements, and safety. Interface with other departments to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability while creating or revising machining processes.

ResponsibilitiesTransfer engineered models into machine language using appropriate integration software.Simulate CNC programs prior to download to enhance quality and throughput.Establish a centralized program repository on the company network.Collaborate with tech leads to refine CNC programs and reduce cycle times.Evaluate engineering drawings and models for accuracy and manufacturability.Initiate and implement process improvements for cost reduction and quality enhancement.Work with other departments to resolve machining process issues and improve manufacturability.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of CNC Programming experience, specifically with lathes.Proficiency in programming twin spindle and multi turret lathes.Experience with programming Index, Citizen, and Okuma lathes.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in CNC lathe and CNC programming.Experience with Esprit and Swiss lathe programming.Work Environment

This facility uses advanced technologies and requires collaboration with various departments to enhance manufacturing processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
