Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and editing 2D and 3D CNC programs for the fabrication of models and other components. You will debug and optimize CNC programs to ensure accuracy and performance, set up and run CNC machines, and make improvements as needed. Utilizing CAD/CAM software, you will adjust designs for shrinkage and material loss during part production, maintain accurate documentation, and assist with troubleshooting technical issues. You will also read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and edit 2D and 3D CNC programs for model fabrication.Debug and optimize CNC programs for accuracy and performance.Set up and run CNC machines, checking performance and making improvements.Utilize CAD/CAM software to adjust designs for shrinkage and material loss.Maintain accurate documentation of all programming activities.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.Essential SkillsProficiency in CNC programming, including CNC mill and lathe operations.Experience with Solidworks and familiarity with PDM vault.Proficiency in HyperMILL programming.Ability to program for at least 3-axis CNC machines.Experience in a shop environment for a minimum of 3 years.Technical college degree in a related field.Solid mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsTIG welding experience.Experience with 5-axis programming.Blueprint reading and interpretation.Experience with MasterCAM programming.Work Environment

You will work in a clean, well-maintained facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The work schedule primarily involves the first shift, starting between 5-6 AM, with up to 10 hours of overtime weekly. The environment encourages automation and aims to move away from manual post-processing. Profit sharing is available with a 15% annual payout, and there is potential for career advancement into tooling engineering. The culture is strong, with low attrition rates and opportunities for training in advanced programming skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.33/hr.
