General Summary:

Requires, under guidance of senior personnel, the operation of CNC controlled machine tools to perform any sequence of programmed operation using programs and tool layouts provided.

Specific Responsibilities:

Reads blueprints and has the knowledge to use micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators as needed.Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives Actively employs set-up reduction techniques to minimize “internal” activities, drive down change-over times and increase productivityMaintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standardsMust be able to follow work order and verbal instructionsRun multiple machines as required Actively employs set-up reduction techniques to minimize “internal” activities, drive down change-over times and increase productivityMaintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standardsActive involvement in Autonomous Maintenance program Perform Preventative Maintenance per daily schedule  Perform first piece verification process per part print as requiredResponsible for producing and maintaining high level quality parts
