Education and Experience: 1-3 years’ experience as CNC mill/lathe operator preferredExperience verifying dimensions of parts, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and / or fixed gaugesBasic computer skillsAbility to perform basic mathStrong attention to detailAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsFlexibility in work assignmentsMust be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walkingMust be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours dailyMust be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistanceMust be able to work daily and weekly overtime as requiredPrevious manufacturing experience preferred but not requiredReads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructionsWith assistance, troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient overall productionCalculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flowDocument new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimizedObserves operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometersDeburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specificationsFollow all safety policies and proceduresSetup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shopPerform other duties as assigned
