Job Title: CNC Machinist / Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer with a strong experience with HAAS controls, CNC mills and lathes, and CAD/CAM software. The ideal candidate will have worked at least 10 years in machining, programming, and part setup, with a particular focus on graphite machining and model interpretation. This is a full-time position on the first shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Program CNC machines using SolidWorks or Mastercam.Operate and set up HAAS CNC mills and lathes.Interpret and work from 3D models and technical drawings.Perform manual and automated machining tasks, including graphite machining.Set up parts accurately and efficiently for production runs.Maintain high standards of precision and quality.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes.Ensure safe and clean working conditions.

Essential Skills

Minimum 10 years of CNC machining and programming experience.Proficient with HAAS CNC controls.Skilled in SolidWorks and/or Mastercam.Strong understanding of CNC mill and lathe operations.Experience machining graphite materials.Ability to read and interpret models and blueprints.Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with calipers, micrometers, and video inspection tools.Proficiency in setting up machines in a machine shop environment

Work Environment

This position is based in a neat yet small machine shop, where maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential. The role is on the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a steady work schedule.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ronkonkoma, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
