We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) and tape machine tools, along with related auxiliary equipment, to perform precision production machining operations. The role requires interpreting blueprints, programming, setting up machines, and producing high-quality parts while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations such as drilling, reaming, turning, boring, grooving, keyway cutting, surface milling, and slotting to close tolerances.
Interpret blueprints, program instructions, charts, tables, specifications, and verbal or written directions.
Program machine memory or perform calculations to execute operations as required.
Set up machines using fixtures, drill jigs, vises, blocks, shims, clamps, angle plates, and collets.
Inspect work for proper diameters, concentricity, squareness, angles, and surface finish; make adjustments and replace tooling as needed.
Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Exercise independent judgment to plan setups, verify work quality, and ensure production of parts meets recognized standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand instructions and document work completion.
Completion of one- or two-year trade school training in CNC machining preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, gages, and standard machining measuring instruments.
Proficiency in machining mathematical calculations and inspection of finished parts.
Minimum of one year of experience operating various machining equipment preferred.
Successful completion of a written skills test required for placement.
Equipment Used:
Vertical turning and horizontal milling CNC machines, calculators, indicators, micrometers, gauges, verniers, layout tools, and related equipment.
