This person will perform simple to complex machining of components to produce miscellaneous parts and equipment using standard methods, procedures and documentation such as routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand. The Opportunity ... Ensure jobs are processed by order of priority through proper use of dispatch or as instructed. CNC programming and set-up for Milling Machines G-CODE Programming either at the machine or using Master Cam. Familiar with Haas and Mazak machines Keep programs organized and updated on server, perform back-ups of written programs Provide detailed feedback for correction of error or discrepancies of documentation, BOM, routing and/or prints. Deliver documentation of machining test processes prior to scheduler upon completion. Manufacture components in accordance with routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables and other information relative to the work at hand. Operate a variety of machining equipment (lathe, mill and drill), manual and CNC. Perform job set up requirements. Perform required shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions. Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Use precision measuring instruments to ensure proper fit of components. Perform self inspection and test of parts upon completion of jobs. Follow prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations This position is considered a safety sensitive position, thus employee may be subjected to randomized drug testing. Why work at JBT ... Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Ability to work from detailed prints and drawings as well as verbal instruction Ability to use shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions. Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures. Must have basic tools of trade. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years experience and advanced knowledge of manual and CNC machining processes Mazatrol Programming a plus Advanced knowledge of blueprints and layout work. Physically capable to handle moderate stress to complete work due to time constraints. Physically capable of stepping up/down material handling equipment (forklift truck) 25-60% of day.
