**Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic medium-sized prototype machine shop equipped with a diverse array of 3 and 5 axis CNC Mills, predominantly Haas models. As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will take on the role of a machinist and programmer, utilizing Gibbscam software to program and execute machining tasks. This role requires proficiency in setups, tool changes, touch-off, and G&M code edits, with a focus on transforming blueprints into parts for a wide range of customers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Program and operate CNC Mills using Gibbscam software.
+ Perform multiple setups daily, typically handling 1-2 pieces, with runs up to 50 pieces.
+ Work with a variety of materials including plastics, stainless steel, titanium, with a focus on aluminum and stainless.
+ Conduct in-process inspections using digital inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in CNC milling and setup.
+ Experience in a prototype machining environment.
+ Capability to run short-run machines.
+ Ability to perform in-process inspections using micrometers and calipers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Either a two-year degree with some experience on mills or no formal education with 3+ years of experience.
+ Experience in a short-run job shop environment.
+ Lathe and manual machining experience is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work in a specialized machine shop known for tight tolerances and serving industries like Medical Device, Aerospace, Defense, and High Technology. The majority of work involves medical device parts, with 20% dedicated to aerospace components. The shop is ISO 9001 certified and features a clean room for assembling neuro-implantable devices. Enjoy a clean working environment in a smaller shop with about 25 colleagues.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
