Spherion is seeking Full Time, Temp to Hire CNC Machinists for the Broussard area! The candidates MUST have either recently graduated from school in machining or have at least 1 year CNC machinist experience.
Previous experience with CNC machines, Familiarity with Mazatrol and/or G-code is a big plus
... Usual schedule is Monday - Friday 6a-5p with an hourly rate of $19-21. Possible Saturday work.
Responsibilities:
Setup CNC machine and modify programs. Make necessary offset adjustments. Monitor machine while running.
Measure parts with precision tools.
Use of forklift and pallet jack
Keep machine and work area clean.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Familiarity with common tooling and practices.
Understanding of geometry and basic trig. a plus.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Experience using mics. caliper, T-gauges, thread gauges, etc.
Ability to read and decipher detailed part drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
Must be able to read/use basic precision measuring tools and perform simple math calculations
Attention to detail and dependability. Must have reliable transportation.
Exerting force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Must be able to work 10-12hr shifts as required.
Must be able to pass standard pre-employment physical and drug screening.
