CNC Machinist
Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Cranberry Twp, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $30-35/hr Contractor Work Model: Onsite Objective Operate and maintain precision machining equipment to fabricate components according to engineering specifications while ensuring adherence to quality standards and production targets. Responsibilities + Set up and run CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis equipment) using technical drawings and work instructions + Load programs, adjust tool offsets, and monitor machine operations during production runs + Make minor program edits and change cutting tools as needed + Read blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications + Check finished parts with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances + Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized + Identify machining problems and report equipment issues or quality concerns + Follow safety procedures and operational policies + Work with engineering and production teams to meet schedules and output goals Requirements + High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or machining training preferred + 1–5+ years of hands-on machining or CNC operation experience (level varies by position) + Working knowledge of CNC milling and/or turning processes + Understanding of machining methods, cutting tools, and materials + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools + Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC control systems (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens) + Able to stand for long periods + Able to lift materials up to specified weight (e.g., 40 lbs.) + Manual coordination and visual accuracy for detailed work Preferences + Experience with multi-axis CNC equipment + Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) + Background in high-volume or precision manufacturing + Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance #M-1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
