Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC machinists with experience in setting up both mills and lathes. The role involves working with various machines, including Doosan and Haas, to set up and operate multiple machines concurrently. The position requires the ability to read and work from work orders and blueprints, edit programs, and perform changeovers to meet specific manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate 1-2 machines, increasing to 2-3 machines after training.Work with work orders and blueprints to determine measurements and quantities.Edit programs to match required specifications and perform changeovers for new orders.Operate within tolerances as tight as .001 in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Utilize gauges, micrometers, and calipers for precision measurements.Inspect the first piece of each run for quality assurance.Complete all setup paperwork and return materials to proper areas.Position and secure tools and workpieces as per process sheets.Set controls for speed, feed rates, and depth of cuts.Perform autonomous maintenance adjustments to machinery.Conduct periodic part inspections to ensure quality.Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area.Assist new operators with setup procedures.Contact Team or Group Leader if issues arise during setup or operation.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of CNC setup and operating experience.Proficiency in reading blueprints and assembling parts to specification.Knowledge of manufacturing quality and mechanical inspection tools.Experience with hand and power tools.Use of good judgment and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to cross-train in other plant areas.Certification in CNC (training available for certified candidates)Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
