Volt is immediately hiring an experienced CNC Machinist in Vista, Ca. 

 

 

As a CNC Machinist you will:

Collaborates closely with Machine Shop Programmers and Engineers to ensure that all fabricated and newly designed parts and assemblies meet the company’s quality and performance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Perform complete machine set-ups independently, without supervision.

Interpret job orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tools, workholding devices, cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates.

Change tools using probing systems and tool setters as required.

Manage all phases of part fabrication from set-up through to achieving first article acceptance.

Conduct accurate in-process inspections and maintain detailed quality records.

Identify and recommend process improvements to minimize part quality variation.

Enter production and inspection data into visual management systems and report results to management.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.

Attend and complete internal training sessions as required to perform assigned duties.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety procedures and regulations.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

This is a full-time opportunity

 

The ideal candidate will have: 

 

U.S. Person status required due to export control regulations.

High School Diploma or GED required.

2-3 years CNC Machinist experience.

Solid understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.

Minimum of 1+ years of experience with Mastercam.

Ability to work in loud manufacturing environments.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with coworkers and management.

Proficient in the use of indicators, gauges, and plate inspection methods for fixture pick-up, first article, and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Skilled in interpreting blueprints and quality requirements.

Willing and available to work mandatory weekends and overtime as needed.

Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

 

Pay Rate: $25.00-30.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
