**Job Title: Machinist** Job Description The Machinist is responsible for machining new and repair part products to print specifications. The role requires proficiency in operating mills and lathes, with a primary focus on a Toshiba VTL equipped with Fanuc controls and live tooling. The machinist will handle large control flow valves, typically ranging from 40-60" OD, but occasionally reaching up to 160" OD, and weighing between 1,000 lbs to 10,000 lbs. Responsibilities include setting up and operating the machine, making necessary edits, and machining with precision down to +-.001. Responsibilities + Operate Toshiba VTL with Fanuc controls and live tooling. + Set up and operate machines for machining large control flow valves. + Ensure machining precision to print specifications, down to +-.001. + Handle a variety of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and other specialized alloys. + Perform set-ups and make necessary edits during operations. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience as a VTL machinist. + 2+ years of experience with mill operations. + Experience with Fanuc controls. + Proven ability to perform set-ups and edits. + Experience in machining large parts. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with live tooling. + Familiarity with Toshiba and Mazak machine controls. + Ability to answer G-code questions related to machining operations. + Capability to calculate speeds and feeds for milling and drilling. + Ability to convert millimeters to inches.
