CNC Machinist
**Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to perform machining operations. + Read prints and factory work orders for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts, and cutting tools. + Position and secure tooling set-up, insert workpiece into position, and secure it using various methods. + Select method of holding workpiece, potentially making arbor/jaws to complete the job. + Adjust controls to set cutting speed and feed rate, position tool in relation to workpiece, and run machine. + Verify machined workpiece for correct specifications to tolerances as close as .001 using measuring instruments such as micrometers and depth gauges. + Procure first piece inspection approval. + Maintain cleanliness and lubrication of the machine, and keep the work area clean and orderly. + Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditions. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints. + Competency in the use of calipers, micrometers, indicators, and various other measuring instruments. + 1 or more years of experience in set up and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in machining and blueprint reading. + Familiarity with lathe, mill, calipers, programming, and setup. + Knowledge of inspection processes, press brake operations, and use of Haas, Fanuc, and Mazak equipment. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.50/hr.
