There is a current need for a CNC Machinist to work 2nd shift at the Parker Hannifin location in Huntsville, Alabama. The job requires the set-up and operation of CNC machines to perform precision metal cutting.
This position is full-time with a $2.00/hour shift premium and quarterly profit sharing. Essential Job Functions:
+ Set-up and operate CNC machines
+ Understand CNC programs
+ Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
+ Use precision measuring instruments
+ Apply machine shop mathematics
+ Utilize lean principles
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures
+ Participate in work groups High Performance Teams for continuous improvement
+ Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
Work Conditions:
Standing for 8-10 hours per day; frequent reaching, grasping and lifting up to 25 lbs.; occasional walking; working in and around oil and solvent.
Required Testing:
Basic skills test and interview will be conducted to determine qualifications.
Note:
Some previous education and/or experience operating CNC machines is strongly preferred.
