This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring efficient setup, operation, and supervision of CNC lathe operations to meet production targets and maintain the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC lathes, including manual setup and program editing at the machine Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets Select appropriate tooling and fixtures and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments Lead, train, and support a team of CNC operators and machinistsPerform routine maintenance, troubleshoot machine/tooling issues, and coordinate with maintenance as needed Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred 3–5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathesPrevious supervisory or lead machinist experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, etc.)
