Lathe Machinist

Pay: $22-35/Hour

Location: Tukwilla, WA

Shift: 1st and 3rd

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and quality of machining operations, maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workspace, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.

Responsibilities

Notify the supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.Complete and maintain any required documentation.

Essential Skills

Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances and math skills.Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes.Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, thread gages, bore micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication skills.Organization and time management skills.Problem-solving and analysis abilities.Preferably completed trade school or AJAC with a desire to learn and grow within the company.Experience with manual machining, manual mill/lathe, and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine workshop with weekday night and weekend night shifts available. Shifts include multi-spindle and Mori-cell operations across various time slots, ensuring a dynamic and challenging work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
