Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist who is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of CNC lathe machines. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying abnormal situations, recommending performance improvements, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards within the workspace. The role requires completion and maintenance of all necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.Make recommendations for improvements in methods of performance of work.Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.Complete and maintain any required documentation.

Essential Skills

Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances, and math skills.Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common “G” and “M” codes.Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, plug gages, bore micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferably out of trade school or AJAC with a strong desire to learn and grow.Experience in manual machining and manual mill/lathe operations.Troubleshooting skills..

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine workshop with a variety of shifts available. The environment requires adherence to safety and precision standards, and offers a mix of weekday and weekend shifts to accommodate different schedules.

This is a position based out of Tukwila, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
