CNC Lathe Machinist
**Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist** Job Description The CNC Machinist will operate a CNC lathe machine, handling approximately 4-5 different jobs daily. The role involves reverse engineering parts for industrial plants such as pulp and paper mills and the mining industry. The machinist will be responsible for machining parts out of materials like steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and copper, performing set-ups and edits at the machine, including light programming. Shift and Pay + $20-28/hr + 7 am -3:30 Monday -Friday Responsibilities + Operate CNC lathe machine and manage approximately 4-5 different jobs per day. + Reverse engineer parts for industrial plants, including pulp and paper mills and the mining industry. + Machine parts from various materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and copper. + Perform machine set-ups and edits, including light programming using controls. + Utilize blueprints, calipers, and micrometers for precision work. Essential Skills + 3+ years of CNC Machinist experience. + Ability to perform set-ups and edits at the machine. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and legends. + Experience with CNC lathe and programming. + Knowledge of machine controls and operating within tight tolerances. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with horizontal machines is highly preferred. + Familiarity with Haas and Fanuc controls is advantageous. + Capability to manage changeovers and operate machines efficiently. Work Environment The work environment is climate-controlled and clean, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There is potential for overtime for those who are interested. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
