**CNC Grinding Machine Operator 2nd Shift $24/hr!**
**Job Description**
The CNC Grinding Technician for the 2nd Shift (2:15 pm - 10:45 pm) is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual grinding equipment to produce precision metal components. This role ensures that parts meet exact specifications through meticulous setup, inspection, and monitoring. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Training will also occur during the 2nd shift.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a variety of CNC grinding machines.
+ Collaborate with the line lead to ensure parts are produced efficiently and with top quality.
+ Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify product quality.
+ Aim for 3-4 setups per day once fully trained.
+ Work with small pieces of carbide material.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Set up gauges and measuring tools for production runs.
+ Configure CNC and manual grinding equipment according to job specifications.
+ Perform and approve first-piece inspections before production begins.
+ Continuously monitor parts using precision tools to ensure quality standards.
+ Log setup and operation times in SAP or related systems.
+ Troubleshoot equipment and production issues as needed.
+ Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with CNC, production, and machine operation.
+ Proficiency in CNC machining, mill, machining, and grinding.
+ Ability to operate calipers and grinders.
+ Experience in CNC grinding and manual equipment operation.
+ Skill in selecting wheels, gauges, and blocks.
+ Troubleshoot machine and production problems.
+ Competency in blueprint reading and quality assurance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school coursework preferred.
+ Two years of CNC grinding experience preferred.
+ Competency in basic mathematics and measurement.
+ Familiarity with precision measuring tools and machines.
+ Comfortable with data entry, SAP, and basic hand tools.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a newly built, state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility. The clean room environment ensures comfort year-round and maintains a high standard of cleanliness. Personal protective equipment is provided, though candidates need to have safety shoes/steel toes. The role is open for the 2nd shift, operating Monday through Friday, from 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm, with training conducted during the same shift.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
