We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. We’ve also developed a career path framework for CNAs that clarifies paths to move, develop and advance CNA careers into nursing and other roles. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
4th Floor Medical Surgical:The 4th Floor Medical Surgical unit at St. Anthony Hospital, an achieved Magnet® hospital, is a medical/surgical telemetry unit of 36 beds and is primarily a telemetry unit with medical/surgical overflow. Our typical patient population includes heart failure, pre and post-cardiac catheterization, abnormal arrhythmias, vascular surgery, TAVRs, ablations, and other cardiac patients. Our mission is to provide the highest level of quality, patient-centered, and safe care to all patients who come through our doors while also creating an atmosphere that is fun, exciting, and engaging to work in. We foster a positive team environment through regular team-building activities, celebrate successes with monthly recognition events, and encourage professional growth through continuing education opportunities.
Working on the 4th floor of the hospital provides nurses with an environment that is team-focused, supportive, and adaptable to the changes in healthcare. We seek individuals who have a vested interest in our department and its mission. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, effective communication skills, and be hardworking, dedicated, and accountable.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Six months previous CNA experience preferredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishBasic computer skillsPrevious customer service experience preferredHigh School diploma or GED requiredGraduate of a Nursing Assistant Program requiredState registered CNA license requiredCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holdsPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Where You'll WorkLocated in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life® Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
