Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic restorative services and basic nursing services which are directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, basic mental health of patients and the protection of patients and the protection of patient rights. The CNA assigned to the Float Pool are required to perform these functions on any unit and any campus as needed. All CNA s' practice within the scope and standards of practice set forth by the Nevada State Board of Nursing. This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.521-31189-87300


Job Requirements

Minimum:

6 months clinical experience in an acute facility.  Graduate from a fully accredited CNA Program. Knowledge of medical terminology. CT NA = Certified Nursing Assistant license from Nevada State Nursing Board. CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHAPlease be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred:1 (one) year clinical experience as a CNA.
