CNA - Corrections, WEEKLY PAY!
Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and attentive Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide continuous observation of inmates housed in both acute and non-acute units. This role focuses on safety monitoring for inmates on suicide watch, ensuring timely communication and documentation to support both medical and security teams. CNA staff will be responsible for observing 4–5 inmates at a time and must remain highly alert and engaged throughout the 12-hour shift. Key Responsibilities + Provide continuous, direct observation of inmates on suicide watch. + Document inmate activities thoroughly and accurately. + Immediately notify appropriate security and medical staff when interventions or assistance may be required. + Maintain a calm, professional presence in a correctional healthcare environment. + For the female unit: Assist with lab collections as needed (Phlebotomy certification required). Required Experience & Qualifications + Active CNA license with 1+ year of CNA experience. + Strong communication skills and high reliability—must be punctual, dependable, and consistent. + Ability to maintain focus and attentiveness for the full 12-hour shift. + Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, or substance abuse settings is strongly preferred. + Phlebotomist certification required for assignments on the female unit.
